Pollen and Mold Counts |

Pollen and mold counts are obtained from the Asthma & Allergy Center's pollen counting station utilizing a Rotorod Aeroallergen Sampler. Counts are updated three to five times a week and provide a general representation of pollen and mold counts throughout Bellingham and Whatcom County. Pollen and mold counts are reported according to the National Allergy Bureau's count designations NAB. The count indicated refers to the number of pollen grains or mold spores per cubic meter.
Due to generally low pollen counts this time of year, pollen and mold counts will be performed less frequently through the fall time.

For our area, there are some pockets of moderate weed pollen counts and there will be varying amounts of mold spores in the air through the fall time.
