Pollen and Mold Counts for November 16th, 2016: Mold spores are the primary allergen in outdoor air this time of year. This is the latest pollen count performed by the Asthma & Allergy Center of Whatcom County. Mold spores 1,635, moderate for our area. Upper and lower airway allergy symptoms could be due to mold allergy, along with dust mites and animal dander allergen.
October 12, 2016:
A 7 day collection reported as counts per day. Mold spores only; no pollens detected this time of year: 2,753, moderate for our area.
October 3, 2016: Mold 1405,
low. Except for a few areas in the county where there may be some weed pollens, the pollen season is over for this part of the country. Tree pollens will begin to appear in January/February next year.
September 8, 2016.
Three day count, reported as counts per day: Pollens not detected. Mold 3,562, moderate for our area.
August 30, 2016.
Four day collection, reported as counts per day. Weed <1. No grass or tree pollens detected. Mold 712, low. Cladosporium makes up a significant proportion of total spores counted.
August 19th,
4 day collection, reported as counts per day.  Weed 2, low. Grass, Tree absent. Mold 1256, low. Weed and mold spores will be the main outdoor allergens through the fall time.
August 3, 2016:
Five day collection, reported as counts per day: Weed 1, low. Grass < 1.  Juniper/Cedar <1. Mold 715, low.

The following pollens are very large and form dust on outdoor surfaces but don't typically trigger the formation of allergic antibody and allergy symptoms as smaller pollens such as birch, alder, maple and others.
